Google logos and IP
Hi everyone!
Are we permitted to use Google logo IP limited only to this project, or would Google prefer none of their branding IP be used at all (I'm lumping in Gemini IP with that as well)?
Thanks so much!

Hi Chris,
I think it's okay but I'm checking with the team and will get back to you next week!

Hi Chris,
Here is the response from the Google Team. Good luck!
Thanks for reaching out with this important question!
For the purposes of this hackathon, you are permitted to use Google and Gemini branding IP solely for the purpose of identifying your project as being built on or utilizing Google/Gemini technologies within the scope of this hackathon submission.
This means you can:
-Use the Google logo and/or Gemini logo in your project's presentation, demo, or documentation to indicate that your solution is built on Google Cloud, uses Gemini models, or is part of the Google ecosystem.
-Refer to "Google" or "Gemini" in your project name or description to clearly link it to the hackathon's theme and technologies.
However, please be aware that this permission is limited to this specific hackathon project and does not grant any broader rights to use Google's branding. You should not:
-Represent your project as an official Google product or service.
-Use Google or Gemini branding in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership beyond the scope of this hackathon.
-Modify the Google or Gemini logos.
-Use the branding for any commercial purposes outside of this hackathon.

Thanks so much for the information Shawni! I'll be sure to abide by the limits Google is setting forth for graciously allowing me to use their branding IP. I appreciate you closing the loop on this!
