Can I build app on top of ADK examples?

Hello,
The rule says:
"New Projects Only: Projects must be newly created by
the entrant during the Contest Period. The Project must be your
original creation not a modification or extension of Your or anyone
else’s existing work."

Does that mean, using ADK example and building own agents on top of it and modifications on example will make it ineligible for this hackathon?

    Hello. Apologies for the delay. I've just heard back from the Google Team: "You are welcome to build on top of the ADK examples from documentation, but please make sure you are not submitting prior work that you or others have created prior to this hackathon. We want to make sure you are not re-using existing work, but that you are building for the timeframe and purpsoes of this hackathon. Ensure that if you are using ADK examples, you are applying your own work that addresses the challenge categories and contributes to the judging criteria for this hackathon."
